Functional analysis, Prototype Fabrication and Assembly



Versatile, large lab space (165m2), reconfigurable for variety of projects, from student final year projects to development of Flight Hardware for in-house activities and external partners

The Fabrication and Assembly Facility includes separate partitioned sections:

  • ‘Rough Lab’ for mechanical workshop activities
  • Electronics fabrication and non-flight optics lab
  • Large floor area for deployable structure testing


Clean room ISO class 7 to be fully equipped with tools & lab bench equipment
(power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, soldering stations with microscope, fume extraction etc.)

The Cleanroom is sized to support AIT on two larger CubeSats (6U-16U) and one smaller student mission (1U) simultaneously, or a single larger microsat (~50kg).
